Paradise in the Indian Ocean!
SEYCHELLES & ALDABRA
November 19-December 4, 2003

Discover the Seychelles Islands and a paradise for wildlife in the Indian Ocean-remote Aldabra island. Aldabra is the largest raised coral atoll in the world and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will explore the Seychelles and will then take charter flights to Assumption where we will explore Aldabra, Cosmoledo, and Astove while traveling on board the M/V Indian Ocean Explorer. Aldabra is home to the world's largest population of giant tortoises as well as a host of rare and endemic animal species. It is considered to be the Indian Ocean Galapagos Islands. More than 100,000 Giant Tortoises are found here. We'll also visit the Aldabra research station, and discover the old cemetery, whose grave stones are topsy-turvy from the excavations of nesting green turtles. Tropic birds, frigates, boobies, noddies, and tropic birds will be of interest, as will snorkeling or diving in the channels and lagoons. Limited to just 13 paying participants.
$4995 plus air.
