COSTA RICA NEW YEAR'S EXPEDITION
December 23, 2008-January 1, 2009

Join us on this delightful 10-day adventure to Costa Rica, over the New Year's holiday period. Discover Volcan Poas, an active volcano on the Continental Divide, and then descend to the Caribbean lowlands and explore La Selva, one of the finest tropical rainforest reserves in the world whose tall buttressed, canopy emergent trees harbor a profusion of birds, insects, and monkeys, while jaguars and other mammals explore the forest floor. See active Arenal Volcano, which may spew fire from its summit, en route to the world renowned Monteverde Cloudforest. Then descend to the Pacific lowland and Punta Leona, where you can enjoy snorkeling and one of the most beautiful beaches in Central America. Discover Carara Biological Reserve, and look for nesting scarlet macaws in a private reserve.
